Hawkeye is an open source travel industry point of sale application, for which the source code is available for free download.
Hawkeye uses an object-oriented and multi-tier architecture using Microsoft ASP.NET, C#, AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, and XML. Multiple web browsers are supported including Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 or greater, Mozilla Firefox 2.0 or greater, Apple Safari, and Google Chrome. Data is accessed through web services with a rich XML Schema design to support complex shopping, booking and reservation management.
The Hawkeye point of sale application can be developed for use against any travel reservation source. Farelogix customers may use Hawkeye to access travel inventory through the proprietary Farelogix FLX™ platform, whereas non-Farelogix customers may elect to use Hawkeye against their own connections to travel inventory sources.
