Direct Connect (FLX Supplier Content Adapter)

Direct Connect is a connection between a Supplier (airline) Reservation System and the Farelogix FLX Platform. Farelogix supports whatever type of messaging protocol is required or preferred by the supplier (e.g. EDIFACT, OTA, XML, GDS, or Proprietary). All content is then standardized and normalized for use in the Farelogix FLX™ Platform.

Direct Connect allows users to make and manage “direct” bookings and reservations out of the Supplier Reservation System without any third-party intervention, and at significantly reduced cost to the supplier. Direct Connect easily allows for:

• Shopping
• Pricing
• Availability
• Reservation placement and management
• Ticketing, Exchange, Refund, Void
• Interline Management
• Settlement and reporting (ARC, BSP, TCN, BIDT, etc.)
• Custom content/functionality as requested by supplier
• Optional integration with airline flight merchandising engine

Direct Connect is fully integrated with the Farelogix FLX™ Platform including the Master Itinerary (MI) SuperPNR database and Distribution Manager (DM) rules engine. The system is also fully integrated with multiple agent and call center point-of-sale applications.
