Senior Build/Release Engineer
Location: Miami, Florida

Application deadline: July 31, 2008

The primary responsibility of the Senior Build-Release Engineer is to manage builds and deployments to the following environments: development, QA, pre-production, and production. This person will work with and coordinate tasks between team members in the following departments: Development, QA, Implementations, and IT. The objective is to control releases, build and improve defect management/code-release processes. Knowledge of web-based distributed application/software configuration, engineering builds, source control, script automation, and system administration is required.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Manage software builds and releases in the following environments: development, QA, UAT/staging, and production.
  • Manage source code version control, and track defects/code variations between builds.
  • Create daily builds and develop/deploy automation scripts where necessary.
  • Create internal documentation, such as build procedures, installation and configuration notes.
  • Assess, create, and maintain/refine build/release management processes.
  • Assist IT department in taking on support responsibilities, on an as-needed basis.
  • Work on creating a package deployment program for different FLX products and distributions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a technical field preferably in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • 3+ years experience in a Build/Release-Engineer role, with some experience in build automation
  • Proven track record in working on enterprise level large scale multi-tier, applications taken into account multiple time zones.
  • Development experience in object-oriented languages, preferably: Java, C++, and C#.
  • Understanding of XML/SOAP, web services, web application development.
  • Experience using build tools, utilities, as well as defect tracking tools (Bugzilla), and source code repository (CVS).
  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Microsoft operating systems and tools, such as Microsoft Studio.
  • Detailed oriented with good organizational skills and ability to simultaneously work-on and manage multiple tasks concurrently in a fast paced start-up environment.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience doing builds/deployments for 24/7 production environments a plus.
  • Experience supporting enterprise class applications in production environments a plus.
  • Knowledge of (Software Configuration Management) SCM best practices and software development processes is a plus.
  • Exposure to a CMMI-certified environment is a plus.

Quality Assurance Analyst
Location: Miami, Florida

Application deadline: July 31, 2008

Create and execute mostly XML and some front-end test plans and scripts and analyze product defects.

Required qualifications:

  • Have XML testing experience and Altova XML spy or similar XML development environment experience of at least six (6) months or XML coursework/certification with an A grade required.
  • Be a permanent resident or citizen of the US - must have valid US passport.
  • Have a BA in science or technology.
  • Be willing to travel up to 75% of the time domestically and internationally and work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Know different parts of QA process.
  • Have proven ability to understand business processes and requirements and to translate them into test cases, as well as follow and execute test scripts.
  • Have understanding of or experience with creating functional test plans, collecting and maintaining test data, and creating test cases.
  • Have excellent analytical skills, communication, and writing skills, to include solid experience in writing up functional and technical problems and issues.
  • Have detailed knowledge of the Internet, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel including pivot tables, PowerPoint, Access), and Microsoft Project.
  • Proven ability to work independently, troubleshoot, learn new technologies and think creatively, as well as be comfortable with rapid change.

Nice to have:

  • Customer-facing testing experience.
  • Experience executing web application testing.
  • Software Testing Certification and Quick Test Pro experience.
  • Travel industry experience - agency, travel service provider, or GDS.
  • Previous experience working in or with development and business analyst teams.
  • Multilingual in any languages.

Core Platform Development
Location: Miami, Florida

Farelogix uses the latest development tools and technologies to build our industry-leading systems. We seek creative and independent people who will design and build new components for our systems. We have positions open for talented people with experience in C++, JavaScript, XML and XSL.

Requirements:

  • Must have at least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • Must have strong programming and analytical skills and be willing to code full time.
  • Must be experienced in multi operating system environments (Windows, Linux, Unix).
  • Experience in travel distribution technologies (Airline CRS or GDS).
