Jr Developer

POSITION PURPOSE:

Farelogix building state-of-the-art Shopping and pricing engine. This C++ position being primarily focused on software development for airlines fare and pricing system.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology.
• Write new program code using prescribed specifications.
• Troubleshoot production Issues.
• Test and develop programming modifications.
• Evaluate simple interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part.
• Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor.
• Write and maintain programming documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
• Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must have at least a Bachelor's degree preferable in Computer Science.

    • Must have strong development experience in object-oriented languages C++.

    • Must have strong programming and analytical skills and be willing to code full time.

    • Understanding of XML/SOAP, web services, web application development.

    • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills.

    • Knowledge of the Microsoft operating systems and tools, such as Microsoft Studio.

    • Experience in travel distribution technologies (Airline, CRS or GDS) plus.

    • Expertise in Fare and Pricing is a great plus.

    • Good organizational skills and ability to simultaneously work-on and manage multiple tasks concurrently in a fast paced start-up environment.

    • Ability to adapt to change.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Fares and Pricing Business Analyst

Farelogix is building a state-of-the-art Shopping and Pricing Engine.   In support of this endeavor, Farelogix is looking for a highly-motivated airline industry expert who specializes in Airline Fares and Pricing using ATPCO Automated Rules, Taxes, and Fees data.  

Responsibilities:

• Perform QA testing of the Shopping and Pricing Engine.

• Provide subject matter expertise to Developers, Business Analysts, and other Farelogix support teams and customers.

• Research, identify gaps, and document detailed pricing requirements.

• Research and analyze production pricing related inquiries.

Qualifications:

• ATPCO Automated Rules experience required.

• 5+ years travel industry/airline experience, GDS and/or Travel Agency required.

• Experience communicating complex industry solutions to Farelogix staff, as well as to travel professionals.

Special Knowledge/Skills Required:

• Knowledge of ATPCO Fares, Automated Rules, Taxes and Fees required.

• Self-motivated, able to work independently and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Confidence to participate and contribute within a technically-advanced, fast-paced, highly-skilled environment.

• Knowledge of IATA fare construction is beneficial.

Manager of Implementation and Support Services in Miami, Florida

Job Duties: 

Guides the technical support team that ensures customer satisfaction with our products during and after implementation;  Analyzes technical issues that arise and determines when escalation to our development teams is warranted; Produces code updates within our Distribution Manager (DM) framework; Trains and guides the API (Application Programming Interface) support team that provides technical guidance to customers and partners that utilize the Farelogix Gateway, our core IT product; Evaluates potential solutions to solve complex problems and selects the best technical strategy to allow for greater scalability of our potential customer base. 

 

Minimum requirements: 

Must have Bachelor’s degree in a computer or engineering field or foreign earned equivalent degree plus at least 60 months’ work experience in software product definition and development for airline commerce and distribution.
