Business Analyst

The Business Analyst is a “hybrid”role. The candidate selected will wear several hats: Project Manager, Product Owner, System Analyst and Technical Business Analyst.

What you will do:

• Responsible for identifying, documenting and communicatingthe requirements and direction of new and existing products that meet the market demand andcustomer expectations.

• Manage end-to-end integrations from concept, development and implementation and provide technical support for defects and enhancements.

• Work closely with Developers and Project Managers to ensure all elements of product launches come together to support quick adoption by new and existing customers.

Lead Software Developer

We are seeking a Lead Software Developer with strong knowledge of JavaScript, XML, XSLT, SoapUI, web services C# and C++ to join our team.

What you will do:

Develop, design and maintain Farelogix interface using JavaScript, web services and FLX Platform. Become familiar with the Farelogix Platform. Lead team to ensure effectivecommunication and achievement of objectives.

 

Your Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.

• 7+ years in software development.

• Knowledge of the airline industry and/or experience in travel distribution technologies (EDIFACT, AIRIMP, Airline, or GDS) Preferred. ++

• Knowledge and experience with XML-based system interfaces, schema design, and XML based tools like SoapUI are required.

• Understanding of XML/SOAP, web services and JavaScript's prototypal nature, lexical scoping and other unique JS traits; be deeply familiar with its constructs, syntax and rules.

QA Analyst

The QA Analyst is responsible for Automated and Manual testing focused on product functionality, test script creation / execution, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility of Farelogix Product lines.

What you will do:

Responsible for creating, executing and automating existing test cases, solving, and figuring out why something is not working as designed. Attention to detail, organized, and a true problem solver!

 

• Create and execute automated test scripts using Soap UI tool (Required) OR Ready API (Preferred).

• Execute test plans according to project priorities

• Performs in depth research to define the cause of the problem and offers solutions to the development team to resolve the problem.  Work closely with developers and/or product support representatives to reproduce, isolate, and resolve product anomalies or design issues.

• Analyze test results, identifying and documenting defects.

• Create QA documentation based on project functionality and deliverables.  Make recommendations to enhance existing test suites and test cases for future regression.  Integrate test suites into a test management system 

• Monitor and report on project status; identify issues that may impede attainment of goals; and recommend and implement corrective measures

• Roles, responsibilities and duties may evolve and change over time.

Your Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work exp /at least 2-3 years in a QA Analyst or Tester role.

• Exp with non- GUI based testing and/or testing web services (Web API)

• Good foundation and practical exp with XML-based system interfaces and XML based tools are preferred.

• Exp with QA automation tools such as Soap UI (Required) OR Ready API (Preferred).

• At least 1 year of scripting experience using Java, Java Script or Groovy, understanding of XSLT transformation language, computer science concepts such as variables, data types, strings manipulations, regular expressions.

• Familiar with quality assurance principles, inspection techniques and testing procedures.

• Create clear, concise detail oriented test plans

• Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving

• Exp with test management and defect tracking software tools.

• Exp with work in a collaborative environment and working in a rapidly changing environment.

 

**Experience in testing related to airline reservations systems or Global Distribution Systems (GDS) or other travel industry experience a plus **

C++ Developer

We are seeking a C++ Developer whose primarily focus will be on software development for Farelogix API and NDC API.

What you will do:

• Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology.

• Troubleshoot production issues.

• Test and develop programming modifications.

• Write new program code using prescribed specifications.

• Evaluate interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part.

• Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor.

• Write and maintain programming documentation.

• Maintain confidentiality regarding the information being processed, stored or accessed.

• Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference.

Your Experience:

• Bachelor's degree preferable in Computer Science

• Strong development experience in object-oriented languages C++.

• Strong programming and analytical skills and be willing to code full time.

• Understanding of XML/SOAP, web services, web application development.

• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of the Microsoft operating systems and tools, such as Microsoft Studio.

Experience in travel distribution technologies (Airline, CRS or GDS) a plus. ++

• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to simultaneously work-on and manage multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced start-up environment.

MSSQL Server DBA

We are seeking a DBA with MSSQL server experience to join our Farelogix Operations team.

 

The person selected must be comfortable in a DEVOPS environment to enable collaboration among teams.  We are looking for someone who can take initiative at work, and think as a team member.  He or she should constantly try to find out how the things work and analyze each situation for new solutions and more effective approaches to the situation.  Must be open to opportunities to learn and work with Big data, data science and machine learning.


What you will do:

• Responsible for resolving daily production issues

• Troubleshoot performance issues

• Responsibilities include backups and restores, monitoring of DB servers and jobs

• Write stored procedures and SQL code for bug fixes

Your Experience:

• 5+ years of MSSQL server DBA experience, with focus on day to day operational DBA tasks

• Replication, failover clustering, and always-on.

• SQL developer skillsets include SSRS and SSIS, SQL deployments for QA and Production environments

• Code efficiently in T-SQL

• Self-reliant, resourceful, enthusiastic, collaborative and have acute attention to detail

• Exceptional and effective communication with both technical and non-technical team members

• Flexible for an on-call schedule and off production hours for DBA related issues and system maintenance

Senior Technical Writer

We are growing our Documentation team in Miami by bringing on a motivated professional who is versed in the standard tools and practices of the trade, a quick learner, able to work independently in a dynamic environment, passionate about producing quality deliverables, as well as personable and fun. The primary focus of a Sr. Technical Writer is on developing programming guides and XML interface specifications for customers utilizing our XML API.

What you will do:

• Lead a team of technical writers in creating and maintaining the company’s technical product documentation.

• Review the work being handled by the team and ensure adherence to established documentation standards and methods.

• Provide guidance to staff members working on more complex documentation projects and assets.

• Oversee team with day-to-day performance

Your experience:

• 5+ years of experience creating technical documentation in a software development environment.

• Must be able to effectively engage and interview SMEs and other staff members to harvest information about software functionality and API structures.

• Ability to formulate clear and simple descriptions of complex procedures and software workflows.

• Experience creating an assortment of documentation resources, including user guides, release notes, programming guides, process maps, etc.

• Has managed the release, version control, and distribution of technical documentation to the appropriate channels (internal and external).

• Experience using standard industry tools (e.g. Snagit, Visio) to capture images and develop graphical workflows, illustrations, etc.

• Experience creating and administering training curriculums to either internal or external audiences.
